Immaculata San Diego CA Wedding: Anne + RJ

Anne and RJ exchanged vows on the 21st of May and it couldn’t have been a more perfect day for the couple. In the morning it was a little cloudy but towards noon it was sunny and set for an amazing day to get married. I talked about Anne and RJ back in the engagement photos here and they are definitely a couple you want to be around they are always happy and very friendly. I want to thank Amanda for assisting me for the wedding and battling out the long 12 hour day. Also I would like to wish the best to Anne and RJ because they have become good friends of mine and I pretty much talk to RJ everyday now (SMH) and they are 2 people that deserve eachother and the love they share.

The wedding ceremony was held at the Immaculata in San Diego on the University of San Diego campus and I have to say that it was 1 of the best looking churches inside and out I have ever shot at and is a beautiful place to be married at.

For the formal photos with the wedding party I didnt really know where we were going to head out to because I didnt know the area but since Anne and RJ are San Diego natives they already took the liberty of planning for everyone to go to Balboa Park. I never heard of Balboa park and didnt realize how huge the place was until we go there and there was some amazing places to take photos but unfortunately there were crowds of people so we were limited to where we could shoot.

Once everything was over we head over to the reception which was held at the Marriott in San Diego and the party began

You can really feel the love in the air when Anne smiles she is one of those happy spirited people you just want to be around

If you only knew what song he was dancing to you would pretty much have enjoyed the rest of the night and had the song stuck in your head. Here is a hint “Baby, baby, baby Oohhh like”

Anne + RJ Engagement: High School Sweathearts

Anne and RJ are a couple that met in high school and have been together ever since. I met RJ and Anne through a mutual friend Preston aka Pworld earlier this year and I have to say they are a fun couple. Anne and RJ had a small window of opportunity to do engagement photos because they currently reside in Washington but grew up in San Diego. 1 week before the wedding RJ flew down to do the engagement photos and prepare for the biggest day of their lives. I asked Anne, “What type of shoot do you want to do? Anne responded and said “We just wanna have fun” and thats exactly what we did. I hope you enjoy the journey of Anne and RJ, the first stop is where they met.

I stay neutral but who do you think is the Drama king/queen.

Once we finished where Anne and RJ met headed over to my second favorite team in the NFL’s stadium. I learned that this couple have a huge appreciation for the San Diego Chargers through the good and bad.

Anne and I know who the better player is on the Chargers *cough* Gates *cough*

After the better player debate why not give a friendly piggyback ride to your fiance.

We left the stadium and headed over to the beach where I believe RJ proposed to Anne and also a spot where they would always go when times where rough but worked through everything.

Custom DVD Cases

After months of searching I finally found a company that makes custom DVD cases and the quality in phenomenal. We’ve been making DVD’s for our clients for the past couple of years but they just didn’t have that edge to just take it just over the top that little bit. The cases were designed inhouse and printed at Mpix Pro and we think our clients will love the outcome.

The Camp + The Viceroy Engagement : Wayne + Pauline

Wayne and Pauline are a couple met with in 2009 and asked me to be the photographer at their wedding. When they first approached me they said they were getting married in 2011 and the first thing I thought was, “Thats a long time from now”. Well its 2011 now and 2 years has passed and it seemed like it was just yesterday. I wasn’t married yet, no child and I just shot a wedding who is a friend and former employer Rezie and Stefanny. For this Engagement shoot the bride to be Pauline knew exactly what she wanted for a shoot and explained she wanted to a a Mid-Century shoot kinda like the Brad Pitt and Angelina W spread. We traveled to Santa Monica to the Viceroy Hotel in Santa Monica but first we started out the photos at The Camp in Costa Mesa to get a different look I suggested. Enjoy!

Crevier Classic Car Costa Mesa Wedding: Danni + Bryan

It’s not everyday you get to shoot a wedding and cars at the same time. I don’t know if any of you know but I first started shooting cars when I began my journey as a photographer. Danni and Bryan aren’t your typical couple as you can see from the images in a second. Danni and Bryan are very into cars and Danni actually works for a company called Race Technologies who is the US distributor for Brembo race brakes. Danni and Bryan decided to take there passion for cars and there love for each other and exchanged vowels at the Crevier Classic Car Museum in Costa Mesa.

I know I say this alot but these are absolutely my favorite solo bridal photos I have taken to date. The simplicity and the color just takes my breathe away. Danni told me before the wedding she isn’t very photogenic but I think she proved herself wrong with all of the photos from the wedding.

And we are off to the ceremony and reception. I was looking at these vintage gas pumps and gas was 25 cents a gallon and I then cried to myself in my gas guzzling Evo

I was told by the driver and worker at the museum that the limo Danni rolled in was owned by a General in the Army

And to end it with a beautiful shot of the first dance as husband and wife

Cornerstone Gardens Sonama Wedding : Anthony + Cecilica

In July of 2010 I had the honor of shooting this beautiful wedding in Sonoma California. If you aren’t familiar with the area it is in the wine country of Northern California just past the golden gate bridge is San Francisco. This was my first trip to the Golden Gate Bridge and also to Sonoma. Anthony and Cecilia’s decided to do a “Old Hollywood” theme. The brides dress wasn’t your traditional white and was accompanied with a item on the waistline that tied in very well in my opinion. Also, notice the red bottoms on the heels were pretty badass for show but I know they must have hurt. The colors of the wedding came out great and the Cornerstone Gardens was the perfect setting for a perfect day.

If you know me you know I don’t like do these types of edits but I felt I had to because the louboutin had to shine

Turnip Rose Costa Mesa Wedding : Austin + Jenny

Austin and Jenny are 1 of those couples that just shine through images and are a really down to earth couple. Austin and I go back to the Audi community where we met and became friends. In the engagement photo post I mentioned that Austin works for GIAC who is a European Car tuner and Jenny works for Apple One. Jenny and Austin met in high school and have been together since then. Austin and Jenny exchanged nuptials October 3rd at the Turnip Rose in Costa Mesa which I never knew existed. The wedding day had a perfect overcast, wasn’t to hot and the ceremony came out exceptional. Enjoy!

The rings stand out so much because of the vibrancy in the orange.

Jenn’s hair and makeup were done by 2 sisters who could have been twins at first glance but after talking to them they weren’t. Korinne & Christina were so awesome and I would definitely recommend them to any bride getting married and they are located in Orange County.

Women and high heels I dont know how they do it but these shoes are stunning

Call me crazy but I like the bird cage veils more than the traditional long veils.

The Church Rezie and Stefanny got married at had a cool bridal room and we took the opportunity to do some solo bridal shots

The Bubbles on this photo made for such a great depth and effect

Watch out for the Captain Morgan pose it will come as a surprise

Alpen Horn Big Bear Wedding : Jimmy + Jenn

Jimmy and Jennifer Haider were married in August of 2010 at the Alpen Horn Bed and Breakfast in Big Bear, CA. I have known Jimmy my entire life we lived across the street from each other for 18 years of my life and his younger brother Nick is my best friend. When Jimmy and Jenn asked me to be the photographer of there special day I was more than willing to be the photographer. Jimmy if you know him is a very sarcastic carefree person and Jennifer is a always happy go with the flow personality so during the engagement shoot it was like pulling teeth to have Jimmy smile but he was able to pull it off for the wedding.

If you have never been to Big Bear you have to make sure and stop by Big Bear Lake because it is just beautiful and refreshing to enjoy the fresh air. Before the wedding I took Jimmy and Jenn to the Lake to get formal photos that came out magnificent

My non biological nephew Jazz was the ring boy and looked so happy to be apart of the wedding

Villa De Amore Vineyard Temecula Wedding : Tony + Gina

Tony and Gina were married in the Fall of 2009 at the Villa De Amore Vineyard in Temecula, Ca. The day of the wedding was beautiful and the setting was absolutely stunning. I don’t know much about Tony and Gina but I do know that Tony owns a skateboard shop in Mission Viejo and Gina is a grade school teacher.
